Marketing courses are very important

Marketing courses are very important for anyone to take if pursuing a career in business.  For a business to make money they need to sell a service or a good.  In order to sell the product they use marketing to help sell the product.  Every form of business uses marketing to promote their good, services or idea's.  Healthcare providers, companies that produce or sell goods, for profit and nonprofits, and even government agencies use marketing to promote what they sell.  According to Marketing Express 50-60% of a buyers dollar goes toward marketing costs, so marketing is a huge portion of everyone's life.  Even as a consumer you should know the basic's of marketing since a huge amount of your money is spent on it.

Marketing ourselves is a very important skill to have since that is how we can get hired for a job.  When you go for an interview you have to persuade the interviewer that you are the best possible candidate for the position and that you are better than everyone else, basically promoting yourself.  I can use the marketing mix to describe how I would market myself as a potential employee. 

Place:  I am open to being placed in different offices in different area's of the country.  I can also travel frequently for work.

Promotion:  I will be graduating from Keene State College with a degree in management and a minor in Communications.  I have a GPA of 3.6.  I have been involved in numerous organizations and clubs.

Price:  I will be recently graduated from college so I do not demand as high of a salary as others would.
