LinkedIn Launches a Targeted Marketing Feature

On the social network site LinkedIn they will have two new tools targeted updates and follower statistic's.  This way a company can pick certain groups of people and send only them the messages.  These messages would be based off of certain criteria such as job, geography, and job seniority.  Some large U.S businesses have already started using these new features such as Microsoft, AT%T, and Dell.

Do you think these new tools are too invasive or do you think they could help out business's?

In Response to Lyndzi

When you see the Apple symbol/logo what do you think of? What are your first thoughts that come to mind about the brand or product?

When I see an Apple symbol/logo on a product I think of success and a reliable product.  Although Apple products are generally expensive, they rarely have defects or break.  I have owned a few Apple products over the years and I have never gotten a faulty product or one that has broken.  The first thoughts that come to my mind when I see the Apple brand or a product is innovation and a quality product.  Apple seems to work hard on building each product and does not put a product out into the market unless it is of quality.  Apple has defiantly built a successful image of their brand and continues to build more suceessful and innovative products for their consumers.

If you were to suggest a new product for Apple to make, what would it be? And how would the product keep up the Apple brand image?
